Physicists at the University of Manchester, England have managed to create atom thick sheets of Honeycomb shaped carbon dubbed "Graphene" that has a greater tensile strength than diamond; Capable of conducting electricity 100 times faster, graphene is capable (With further research) to replace silicon in semiconductor applications such as transistors, computers, and solar cells.
